Where your score came from
Where looking slimmer matters less to you
FYI, thanks to AI imagery software, we’re able to create very specific fashion and hairstyle examples to illustrate the points being made. In some cases, imagery is exaggerated to hammer home the point. What the three scores measure
This isn’t a weight-loss quiz. It measures something much narrower: how much the desire to look slimmer influences what you wear, buy, notice and avoid.
Clothes & Shopping
This is where the obsession becomes practical. Which cuts you buy, which clothes never make it out of the fitting room, whether you know your most flattering proportions, and what happens when you discover a pair of pants that somehow takes ten pounds off without actually taking ten pounds off.
Mirror, Photos & Habits
These are the automatic behaviors. Where your eyes go in a photograph. What you check in the mirror. Whether knowing cameras will be around changes what you wear. The interesting part is that people often don’t realize they’re doing any of this until somebody asks.
Mental Space
This is the heart of the quiz. How often does looking slimmer actually enter the calculation? Does it occasionally improve an outfit, or can the apparent shape of your body change how you feel about the entire thing?
The interesting distinction
Caring about fashion and caring about looking slimmer aren’t the same thing. Someone can spend a fortune on clothes and score surprisingly low here. Someone else can own a small wardrobe and have every single piece selected because of what it does to her silhouette.
A high score also says nothing about your actual size. This quiz measures attention, preference and behavior — not your body.
The question underneath all twelve questions
If two outfits were equally stylish, equally comfortable and equally appropriate, but one made you look noticeably slimmer, how much would that matter? The higher your score, the less hypothetical that question probably felt.
